Congress has just two weeks left to pass a budget. However, if
Congress does not pass this budget, the country would “shutdown” and go into
“default.” The second deadline is that, Congress has to raise the debt ceiling
so that the Department of Treasury may “pay the bills.” With that being said,
Republicans in Congress have threatened to not raise the debt ceiling, if the
ACA (Affordable Care Act/Obamacare) is not defunded. If Obamacare is not
defunded, which provides millions of people the opportunity to receive health
care; Congress has threatened to throw our country into turmoil and default.
We all should read this article because the outcome of this situation will
affect us ALL in some shape, way, or form. On the one hand, if Congress does
not pass the budget, our country will “plunge into default.” On the other hand,
if Obamacare is defunded, millions of Americans will not be receiving health care
anymore. Whatever the outcome may be, we should all be attentive about the
subject matter.
